  • Justin Jackson is a successful investor and entrepreneur, known for his significant contributions to the fields of facilities maintenance, construction, and real estate development.

    In 2003, Mr. Jackson successfully raised the capital to establish JHJ Facilities, which quickly secured major federal government contracts. This enabled the company to grow into an award-winning facilities maintenance provider. Today, JHJ Facilities, now known as Arkatype Contractors, offers construction and facilities maintenance services for over 12 million square feet of government, industrial, and commercial space. The company’s distinguished list of former and current government clients includes the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of the Army, and the General Services Administration.

    Since founding JHJ Facilities, Mr. Jackson has strategically acquired three additional companies, seamlessly integrating them into his company’s operational infrastructure and expanding the range of services offered to clients. 

    In addition to his work with Arkatype Contractors, Mr. Jackson is a principal at HJB Properties, a successful real estate development firm. HJB Properties focuses on identifying, renovating, and managing multi-family dwellings to enhance developing communities in Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and North Carolina. The firm actively owns and manages these projects through its regional construction and real estate management partners.

    Mr. Jackson is also deeply committed to his faith and community. He believes in "doing well while doing good," and volunteers with organizations such as Bread for the City, Martha’s Kitchen, Sasha Bruce, and The Carpenter’s Shelter. He collaborates closely with various ministries to support their missions.

    A graduate of Howard University, Mr. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.

  • Henry G. (Hank) Jackson is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in strategically building and growing operational and financial success, as well as private equity investment strategies.

    Prior to joining Arkatype Group, Mr. Jackson was the president and CEO of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest HR professional society. He previously served as the Society’s chief global finance and business affairs officer. During Jackson’s tenure, the Society developed and launched its competency-based certification—the accredited SHRM-Senior Certified Professional and SHRM-Certified Professional—a major advancement for the HR profession. Within two years, the number of SHRM-certified professionals grew to more than 100,000 worldwide. Under Jackson’s leadership, the Society grew to a record 290,000 members, expanded its global operations in the UAE, India, China and South America, while he became a highly sought-after voice on workplace public policy.

    Mr. Jackson came to SHRM from Howard University in Washington, D.C., where he was senior vice president/chief financial officer and treasurer of the University. In this role, he oversaw the financial well-being of the university’s 11 schools and colleges, and hospital, and had management responsibility for its hospital, public television station, physical plant, police force, commercial radio station and financial operations.

    Mr. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, is a certified public accountant and technology professional. He started his career in public accounting at KPMG and Hurdman Main, as a financial auditor and technology specialist.

    Mr. Jackson is currently a member of The Myers-Briggs Company Board and has served on numerous other boards including: Chair of the Board of the North American Human Resources Associations, and a Medical Malpractice Insurance Consortium; off-shore Genesys Insurance Consortium; SHRM India; Council for Global Immigration; and the World Federation of Personnel  Management Associations.

    Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Phipps has specialized in the comprehensive operation and maintenance of mechanical systems, as well as in all critical aspects of facilities management. As a seasoned operations manager, his leadership has been instrumental in forging strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers—enhancing operational efficiency and client satisfaction at every turn.
